Deploy a startup application

Deploy a LabVIEW VI as a 'startup application' that runs automatically immediately after the Academic RIO Device boots up.

  1. Connect the Academic RIO Device by its USB cable to establish the “USBLAN” network
  2. Open your LabVIEW project
  3. Create a new build specification for the RT target
  4. Select the VI to use as the startup VI
  5. Ensure that the “Run when opened” option is enabled
  6. Generate a preview of the files to be deployed on the target
  7. Generate the Build
  8. Enable the “Set as startup” option
  9. Click “Deploy” on the RT target
  10. Restart the RT target
